One of my favorite Tarot writers, Benebell Wen, describes the meaning of this card as attaining spiritual mastery over our fears. She writes of it being about the “audacity to achieve personal miracles,” noting that the figure on the card tames the beast through lovingkindness and compassion.
Whenever we are faced with a daunting situation, we can take a moment to recall that all is one, and at the center of that oneness is love. This enables us to see the reality which is past our fears, and respond from a place of irresistible strength.
