Justice

Marseilles Justice CardEquilibrium – Fairness – Decision Point – Karma

Decisions must be made according to law and reason, and chickens always come home to roost.

This card is a reassurance that the Universe is “unfolding as it should.” That which is sown is also reaped. There’s no need to grasp or to strive. Do you best and keep the faith.

I love the symbolism for this card on the Rider-Waite-Smith decks. It is reminiscent of the High Priestess, the Emperor and the Magician. Behind the veil is the Universal Mind. The High Priestess mediates between our own conscious minds and the realm of the unconscious. The Emperor rules what we perceive as material reality. The Magician is a sort of conduit or bridge between potential and material. Justice combines these three archetypes, making natural law manifest in the material world.

The message of this card is “be square with the world – do the right thing.”
