Card Number XIII in the Marseilles Deck has no title, but it is clearly a depiction of the Grim Reaper. This character is the great equalizer. King and pauper alike all fall to his scythe. 

All evil vanishes for the one who keeps the sun in their heart.

Maybe the star of Bethlehem wasn’t a star at all.

The words of Kris Kristofferson’s song The Pilgrim came to mind this morning when I drew The Fool card.

This card is a reassurance that the Universe is “unfolding as it should.” That which is sown is also reaped. There’s no need to grasp or to strive. Do you best and keep the faith.
