Monkey in the Middle
I tend to think of the Seven of Cups as the card of distractions and too many choices. This morning when the Conver Ben-Dov Marseilles deck version of the card turned up, I noticed the single cup standing there in the middle of the six others. It seemed like the “monkey in the middle.”
Sometimes our relationships with others, particularly groups of others (work, school, church, extended family, etc.) can seem like an elaborate game of keep away.
The key to fitting in, while not losing oneself, is love.
