Leave It There
The Ten of Wands represents reaping, and carrying, the harvest.
The Smoky Quartz skull on this card has the ten wands hefted over the shoulder, and certainly seems a bit overburdened by them.
I’ve written before that this card is a reminder not to get too attached to the results of our actions. Do good work, rejoice and sing as you bring in the sheaves, but don’t carry more than you can handle.
This morning when the card turned up, it brought to mind the words to this old Gospel song.
If the world from you withholds of its silver and its gold
And you have to get along with meager fare
Just remember, in his word, how he feeds the little bird
Take your burden to the Lord, leave it thereLeave it there, leave it there
Just take your burden to the Lord oh and leave it there
If you trust him through your doubt, he will surely bring you out
Take your burden to the Lord, leave it there
We have everything that we need. There’s no reason to carry more than we can eat. 🙂
