Find Your Tribe
As I wrote earlier, the Three of Cups is the card of community creativity and celebration. It represents the coming together of hearts beating in sync. This could be in the context of family, work, spiritual or creative pursuits, or the larger community (even the global one).
For me, at least, I tend to sometimes get preoccupied with disagreement or contention when people gather together (face to face or in virtual spaces). I focus on the negative energy coming to me, and feel the urge to resist and confront it. I want to “win people over” who may or may not be “winnable.”
A much better practice is to let people be as they are, let myself be as I am, and make connections with folks who are either already moving in the same direction or who are amenable to doing so. This doesn’t mean insulating oneself from new influences, critical thinking or disagreements. It simply means finding one’s own tribe and building something together with them.
The Three of Cups comes today as encouragement to do that.
