The Three of Swords has been known as the card of sorrows. In Waite’s deck, it is depicted as three swords piercing a heart. My early notes on the card couched it in terms of the primordial wounds of our lives. For me, it has represented the lifelong stories that I told myself about loss, and it being at the center of everything for me.

Daily Draw | Ten of Swords
The Ten of Swords is a card of finality. Tens for me, in general, represent completion – the end of a cycle, preparation for a new one. This Ten, in particular, resonates with a sense that something is ending for good. My cheat sheet entry for this one is “it’s so over.”
Daily Draw | Queen of Coins
The Queen of Coins always reminds me of my mother. She was the personification of this character. She beamed with warmth and hospitality, but above all else she was practical. This Queen represents nurturing, but very specifically in the realm of the physical.
Daily Draw | King of Coins 050420
The King of Coins has turned up three times in a little over a week.
Daily Draw | Nine of Swords 050220
