Beggars in a Gold Mine
The Six of Pentacles has turned up over and over again for several weeks now, and twice in just the past five days.
Today, the lyrics to George Harrison’s song Dehradun came to mind.
See them move along the roads
In search of a life divine
Unaware it’s all around them
Beggars in a gold mine
Harrison once expounded on the song in an interview. “Everything has really enormous potential and perfection, but we’re all so ignorant with the dust of desire on our mirrors..”
So here we sit, waiting for a few coins from the almsgiver, while all the time we’re surrounded by gold.
