The Eight of Wands turned up four days ago, as well. Three Major cards (Sun, Devil and Fortune) turned up in between.
The Eight of Wands is the fourth of its suit to turn up since Saturday, along with a Cups card yesterday and the Chariot (Bearer of the Chalice) two days ago – all apropos of Holy Week. Passion, heart and the gift of the Eucharist.
I tend to think of this Eight as representing a foregone conclusion unfolding, with the outcome out of our hands.
