Trump Cards

Another card from the Majors turned up today, and I have to say that I was less than enthusiastic about it.

The Little White Book for the Tarot of the Cloisters described The Tower as disaster, bringing enlightenment after it, and a chance to start fresh.

This card appears, on first glance, to be a fairly simple and straightforward depiction of two lovers, receiving the blessings of an angel at a wedding.

This is the fourth Major that has turned up in a row, and the second appearance of The Chariot in eight days. It is a reminder to hang on to the reigns, and keep working to get better – a little bit better every day.

When The Wheel of Fortune turns up for me, it’s a reminder to accept the ups and downs with grace, and to do my best to look to the center, and to build the habit of looking to it, through daily spiritual practice and reflection.
