Onward and Upward
The RWS Eight of Cups card depicts a character (similar in appearance to the Hermit) moving to higher ground with his back toward eight neatly stacked cups. For me, it has long represented recovery. We leave behind that which no longer serves us, and we move forward to new challenges and better things.
When this Eight turned up this morning, I noticed again that the character is moving to higher ground. Also, I remembered that Ben-Dov had this card as being about a gathering of hearts, or relationship of the individual to a larger group (family, society, etc.).
Let us hope that we can find it in our hearts to move forward together.
